Summer school is open to anyone who needs additional reading and math help. The times for summer school run from 8:30-11:30 at the Elementary School for grades K-8th grade.
The dates are as follows:
June 13th-17th
June 20th-24th
June 27th-July 1st.
Transportation will be provided only for Scranton, Rippey, and Grand Junction.
Please let the office or your child's teacher know if they plan on attending by May 20th.

Senior Awards Night is on Tuesday, May 17th at 7 pm in the high school auditorium. All seniors are invited to attend. This event is open to the public.
With work on Linduska Field being delayed, Greene County Elementary is excited to announce we will be able to host Track and Field Day for 2-4 Grade on Thursday, May 19 from 12-3 at the track. We understand this is short notice, but we believe this is a valuable opportunity to provide for our students. Thank you for your cooperation. We will send more information about this very soon. Bike/Walk to school day is a national event on May 4th. Mr. Thompson will be organizing an event to start at the HyVee Parking lot, and will finish at the Elementary school. Students and staff members will leave the lot at 7:40 am, and will walk or bike to the elementary school in time for the start of the school day. Please try to arrive at HyVee Parking lot by 7:30. At the end of the day, students will be responsible for riding their bikes home or following their regular after school plans. Students will not be accompanied back to the HyVee parking lot at the end of the day. Parents/families are encouraged to join us for our walk/bike ride that morning! Greene County Schools will have a 2 hour delay today (Apr 21st) due to fog. There will be no morning preschool and no breakfast.
Due to inclement weather, the Ram Relays track meet today has been cancelled.
Greene County Community School will be holding the monthly board meeting at the admin building (101 Ram Drive, Jefferson, IA) this evening beginning at 5:00 PM. The public is welcome to attend.
