Wednesday, January 17th area FFA members came together to compete in Leadership and Career Development Events at the Northeast Sub-District of the Southwest District at CAM High School in Anita, Iowa. Leadership and Career Development Events (LDEs and CDEs) help students develop the abilities to think critically, communicate clearly and perform effectively in a competitive job market. For many of the Greene County FFA members, this was their first time participating in a contest this year. Greene County FFA had members compete in the areas of agricultural broadcasting, public speaking, chapter program, FFA Creed Speaking, ARC Welding, OXY Welding, and Job Interview. A number of members also partook in sub-district quizzes for Discovery, Greenhand, and Chapter divisions. Additional members and members advancing from Sub-Districts will participate at the District FFA Convention March 2nd in Clarinda, Iowa. View results.
