Greene County High School

GCHS students had the opportunity to attend CTE Day at the Capitol in Des Moines on Tuesday, February 6. Students were able to talk with Senator Green and Representative Nordman regarding the importance of Career Tech Education. Students also were able to visit with other students from schools throughout the state of Iowa.  Mr. Brouwer took the SkillsUSA officers and Mrs. Garnett took FCCLA officers, members and CTE students to the Capitol. While in Des Moines, Mrs. Garnett’s group delivered nearly 11 pounds of pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House. The Prairie Lakes District FCCLA had collected them, with GCHS contributing 6 pounds!
