On Monday, December 19th, another full class of ten youth in grades fourth through eighth explored the pathway of computer science. We began the class with a competitive game of “Programmer Says” and then jumped right into coding different robots. The youth began practicing with Bee-Bots. They then played with hex bugs and even organized a Hex Bug tournament!
Finally, the students began to code Dash robots. They taught Dash many skills such as driving, changing his lights and patterns, how to speak, throwing a ball, and even playing the xylophone! These youth had a blast trying something new and are looking forward to more camps in the near future!
January is Agriculture Month for our Career Exploration Camps. Students in grades 1-3 have a camp on January 9th, and students in grades 4-8 will have their camp on January 23rd.
