On Monday, January 9th, Greene County ISU Extension and the Greene County Career Academy kicked off the first career exploration camp of 2023. During the month of January, the youth will explore agriculture. With this broad topic, youth were able to explore how grass becomes milk through a cow's digestive system, participate in milk tasting, and do the Bayer Ag Innovations escape room. This escape room project allows youth to explore the use of Ag Technology and Innovations. They must explore the timeline of innovations, selective breeding, the use of EID identification, Drones, and GPS tracking to escape using the "key word." This is a fun and innovative way for these kids to explore the many types of agriculture there are and begin to submerge themselves in everything agriculture.
We look forward to doing this again on January 23rd with a great group of fourth through eighth graders! If you would still like to sign up your child, please contact ISU Extension at 515.386.2138 to register.
