Due to overcrowding and driver shortages more transportation changes are necessary. Thank you for your patience as we implement these changes.
- Students who live less than 1 mile from their school of attendance are no longer eligible for busing. In this scenario there will be families where one child may be eligible to ride but others are not. (The exception to the 1 mile rule would be students who attend a daycare on our route; these students WILL be eligible to ride the bus.)
- The Elm & Monroe bus stop (Old MS) is only available upon request to high school students who live less than 1 mile from the high school; elem and middle school students will not be picked up or dropped off at this location.
- Stops along Westwood drive have been combined to form one stop (located at Hickory).
- Stops located near the water tower have been combined to form one stop (located at Head Park).
As disclosed last week, the following busing changes are also in place:
- The Lincolnway & Cedar bus stop has been eliminated.
- The Elm & Grauer bus stop has been eliminated.
- We will NOT be able to provide transportation for personal activities such as dance, rec programs, GCP, the Webb house, after-school church classes, or any other activities that are not school related.
All families who have requested busing AND are eligible will need to utilize our Stopfinder app for basic bus information (bus #, bus stop location, and pickup/drop off times). Currently Stopfinder is not active. This is temporary while we finalize our routes. Once reactivated, busing information will be available. If you already have a Stopfinder account, no action is necessary. If you do not have a Stopfinder account, you will receive an invitation email to download this app. Students who have specialized transportation and ride a school van will NOT need the Stopfinder app; school staff will contact those families directly.
