Masking
Based on legislation passed by the Iowa Legislature and signed by Governor Reynolds (HF 847), the board of directors of a school district, the superintendent or chief administering officer of a school or school district, and the authorities in charge of each accredited nonpublic school shall not adopt, enforce, or implement a policy that requires its employees, students, or members of the public to wear a facial covering for any purpose while on the school district’s or accredited nonpublic school’s property unless the facial covering is necessary for a specific extracurricular or instructional purpose.
Any Student or Staff member may independently decide to wear a mask for their own protection and piece of mind.
Cleaning
Staff will continue to clean high contact areas throughout the day and at a minimum once in the morning and once in the afternoon, during non-instructional times. Cleaning materials will be available for use by individuals if desired.
Transportation
Any Student or Staff member may independently decide to wear a mask for their own protection and piece of mind.
Contact Tracing
At this point, there will be no contact tracing done upon a positive test. Notification of a positive case in a building will be provided.
Isolation:
COVID-19 positive persons can return to school after 10 days since symptoms first appeared.
Quarantine:
There currently are no quarantine orders issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health. Parents may choose to have their child(ren) quarantine if they come in contact with a COVID positive individual.
Remote learning options:
This option will not be available.
Visitors in the School
Visitors for academic purposes will be allowed subject to building administration approval.
