ISASP testing begins tomorrow, and we want to ensure all students are prepared for success! Please help us by making sure your child’s Chromebook is fully charged each night this week and brought to school each morning.
Also, remember that we offer free breakfast for all students—a healthy breakfast is key to fueling their brain for testing. Please ensure your child arrives on time each morning so they can begin their day without any disruptions.
Thank you for your support in making this a smooth and successful testing week!

Next week, our students will be taking the ISASP tests (Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress) each morning from approximately 8:10-10:15 AM. The ISASP testing window begins on Tuesday, April 1st through Friday, April 4th , and students in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will be participating.
To help ensure a smooth and successful testing experience, we kindly ask for your support in the following ways:
✅ Avoid scheduling appointments during testing times if possible.
✅ Encourage a good night’s sleep to help students feel well-rested.
✅ Make sure they eat breakfast—every student can eat breakfast at school for free!
✅ Ensure students arrive on time each morning.
✅ Remind them to bring their fully charged Chromebook every day.
Thank you for your partnership in helping our students do their best! We appreciate your support and look forward to a great week of testing.

The following message was sent to all families today in Greene County regarding transportation services for the 2025-2026 school year.
Dear Greene County Families,
We are writing to inform you that there will be important changes to how transportation will be provided for students starting in the 2025-26 school year.
Our district is facing transportation issues that have become more significant in recent years. For example, the shortage of bus drivers, overcrowded buses, and increased activity routes has made it increasingly difficult to provide service for all of our students. As part of the state's regulations, we are required to provide transportation for students who live more than 2 miles from their assigned elementary or middle school and those who live more than 3 miles from the high school.
Over the next few weeks, our district will provide updated information that will be posted on our website, social media pages, and sent through regular building communication to include details about eligibility, routes, and alternative considerations.
We truly appreciate your understanding and support as we work to make these changes as smooth as possible. The goal is to ensure that every student can get to school safely while addressing the transportation challenges we are facing.
Thank you for your partnership. We will be in touch again soon with more specific details.
Sincerely,
Brett Abbotts, Superintendent
Greene County CSD
