Baseball/Softball schedule update for 7/2/24: JV Boys @ 5:30pm @ Manson V Boys @ 7:15pm @ Manson V Girls @ 7pm (no JV game) @ Manson

Middle School baseball & softball for today (6/28) has been canceled.

SOFTBALL SCHEDULE CHANGE: July 1st (Monday) Varsity only. Start time is 6pm.

We will only be playing varsity softball tonight (6/26/24) at Perry. The game will begin at 6:00.

Due to the expected weather later this evening (6/25), we are starting with the varsity games first. Both varsity games will begin at 5:30, with JV to follow.

Sports Schedule Changes for today (6/18): MS softball vs Saydel has been cancelled per Saydel's request. The Varsity baseball and softball games @ Manson tonight will both start at 5:30 due to the weather forecast. Softball is a single varsity game only, baseball will have JV following the Varsity contest if weather permits.

SOFTBALL SCHEDULE UPDATE: Tomorrow's softball game @ Ogden (6/14) will now be Varsity only and will start at 6:00 pm.

Due to increased chances of rain/thunderstorms around 7:00, we are going to play the varsity games vs Roland-Story first tonight (6/12) at 5:30 with JV to follow. This is for both softball and baseball.

Greene County Community School will be holding the monthly board meeting at the admin building (101 Ram Drive, Jefferson, IA) this evening beginning at 5:15 PM. Due to the weather forecast for severe weather and the timing we are postponing tonight's (6/4/24) baseball game vs Winterset to July 8.

Greene County Community School District is excited to host the 8th Grade Promise to Graduate Ceremony today at 1:30 PM in the Greene County High School auditorium. Parents and guardians are invited to arrive at the high school starting at 1:00 PM to be seated. Please note that some seats are reserved, and we kindly ask you to avoid these areas. Parking is available on both the north and south sides of the building, and you may enter through either set of doors. To maintain the grounds, please refrain from parking on the grass. Following the ceremony, light refreshments will be served in the commons, and students may leave with their parents or guardians. For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed on the district's YouTube page. You can find the livestream link below. If you have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or at least 60 credit hours of college coursework, you are eligible to take the Substitute Authorization Course. Greene County Community School District is in need of substitutes, and this course is a great opportunity to help our community. The Area Education Agency (AEA) offers an online option for the Substitute Authorization Course. However, we understand that some individuals might prefer in-person learning. If we receive 10 or more applicants, we can arrange for an AEA representative to teach the course in-person. Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of the course. Details on how to sign up and specific dates will be provided once you express your interest. ACTIVITIES UPDATE: Tonight's games (5/21/24) at Nodaway Valley have been cancelled for tonight, we will look to reschedule.

Due to weather forecast, we will be playing Varsity first tonight at PCM. First pitch is at 5:30.

Tickets will need to be purchased ahead of time for the Boys Soccer Sub State Game at Humboldt. Here is the link: https://www.iahsaa.org/tickets/ You will need to choose Soccer, select 2A, then find our game to purchase the tickets. Tickets will be scanned at the locations marked on the attached map. There is limited bleacher seating, so having a lawn chair would be a good idea.

Good afternoon, Due to the forecasted inclement weather, Greene County High School will move their graduation to take place inside the high school gymnasium. The schedule will remain the same for the event. 1:15pm - Family ticketed seating begins 1:45pm - General admission seating begins 2:00pm - Graduation program begins Students still need to arrive at the high school at 1:15pm to line up for the graduation program. This morning, graduating seniors from Greene County High School participated in the annual "Senior Walk" through the elementary and middle schools. The Greene County High School graduation ceremony will take place this Sunday, May 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Linduska Field (101 Ram Drive). Ticketed seating will begin at 1:15.
